Formerly the Smoky Meadows Lodge, this hotel is under new management and situated in the center of town. After a day of checking out the town, families can enjoy some quality time at the hotel’s seasonal outdoor pool or by the fire pit by the river. Families can play games or puzzles in the hotel’s lobby or enjoy the outdoors and play volleyball, badminton, frisbee or horseshoes. Families can even go fly a kite. The comfortable and spacious guestrooms and suites feature queen beds or double beds and a balcony overlooking the town or mountains. Some rooms feature a sleeper sofa. Some rooms are also pet friendly so there is no concern with leaving your four legged family members at home. Great value, quality exceeds price paid

by SmokyBound

This hotel used to be the up-and-coming when we first started staying there but now it has arrived. Each time we go, there is something new that they have added and they continue to add to create more value. Like walk-in showers, who else has those? They are fantastic. Since it’s on a parkway they have the same parking issues as everybody else but we’ve never had trouble finding parking, you just have to work a little harder like at night and busy weekends. The beds are fantastic and hard to beat at any 5 star hotel. The staff is very professional yet hometown friendly. I would love to see the soft plush chairs in every room and I’m sure they are working on it. Some of the furniture is so comfortable it’s like being at home. Even the chairs that aren’t updated are better than the hard wooden chairs you find at other hotels. I haven’t brushed the surface of all they offer. Check them out and see for yourself.

Quick getaway

We have stayed at this hotel many times. We love the friendly staff, pretty grounds, free breakfast, s’mores, fire pit, and location to The Island. The only thing we didn’t like on this trip was our room right across from the elevator and the curtains don’t close good enough. People can see into the room and see you in the bed in the reflection in the mirror. New curtains please! Other than that, the stay was awesome as usual!
