Are There Any All-Inclusive Resorts in the U.S.?

See recent posts by Amanda Norcross

It’s nearly impossible to find an all-inclusive U.S. resort that’s exactly like the ones available in the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t all-inclusive resorts in the U.S.

There are a few traditional all-inclusive resorts, such as Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Florida. Then there are “less traditional” all-inclusive options, such as dude ranch vacations. Or, you can book a nearly (or completely) all-inclusive package at many resorts, with most—not always all—amenities and services included in one rate. Here, we take a look at the different variations of all-inclusive resorts in the U.S.

Traditional All-Inclusive Resorts in the U.S.

There are very few traditional all-inclusive resorts in the U.S. Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie, Florida, is perhaps the most well-known (since Club Med has locations all over the world). Here, rates cover accommodations, meals, and activities (including kids’ clubs for various age groups) in one easy price.

All-Inclusive Ranch Resorts in the U.S.

An alternative way to enjoy an all-inclusive vacation in the U.S. is to book a dude ranch vacation. Resorts across the U.S. welcome families to experience authentic life on the ranch, with horseback riding as the central activity at most. Other activities include everything from archery to luxury spa treatments. Families often have the option to book private cabins or cottages. All-Inclusive or Inclusive Packages in the U.S.

This is the most common variation of all-inclusive resort experiences in the U.S. While many resorts aren’t all-inclusive, they offer all-inclusive (or nearly all-inclusive) packages for those who’d rather pay one rate for their vacation. For example, while there aren’t any true all-inclusive Hawaii resorts, resorts such as Travaasa Hana offer a nearly all-inclusive package that covers all meals and includes a resort credit, as well as accommodations and some amenities and activities. The same goes for Tradewinds Island Resort in Florida.
