Staff were helpful and friendly but are working in an out of date (if stylish 'boutique') environment. No tea & coffee making facilities in rooms, tea & coffee freely available 24/7 but on the ground floor or floor 3 which meant having it there or carrying back to room if you didn't want to sit there. (Great view across the river from floor 3)
Breakfast was not unpleasant but pretty basic however, there is a huge problem with space. There are 29 rooms and only enough tables to sit approx 16 people at a time. The tables are not cleared quickly enough and the very small stand of hot food not replenished regularly so a number of times guests had to go in search of a waitress from the kitchen to come and sort it out.
If you want 'old world' style you get it here but at the price of lack of facilities.

Good sized small and very comfortable. Well located. Reception and room staff tip top. Bad side was that the room took a day to clear of smoking smell. Breakfast mediocre. A very fine library and open space at the top.
