The Shining

by Kristie C

This hotel is comparable to The Shining. The hotel staff clearly does not know how to operate. The overnight staff was argumentative and rude. The room was never cleaned while we stayed there. Although, there was a note on the desk to tell us that they count just how many towels they have and will be charged upon stealing any. I don't know why anyone would want any. They are starched so bad they practically cut you...and blankets? They is a sheet on the bed. That is it! No comforter, no thin blanket, a sheet. Where are the blankets??? It gets cool at night and we froze the ONE night we stayed. The keys didn't work after about 4 hours. Having worked in the hotel industry for many years; the hotel should be ashamed that it operates as poorly as it does. If it wasn't for the convenience of where it is, I highly doubt many would stay. We will never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone we know!

Super close to NAS and Corry Station!

by Enchntress

After spending 1 night at the Quality Inn down the street and demanding a refund for an additional 2 night stay because of horrible room conditions (including a toilet that wouldn't flush), we then had to find another hotel for 2 more nights as we were visiting our son stationed at NAS. We stopped at the Aston Inn to inquire about rooms and asked to see a room before we committed to book a room. Gentleman at front desk was patient and went out of his way to find a clean room (it was around noon and housekeeping wasn't finished with their rounds) for us to view. Bottom line - our room was clean and neat with 2 queen beds which were very comfortable, a small kitchenette with a stovetop and full sized refrigerator. Only complaints would be that the bar closed by 9pm on a Friday night (but there's a liquor store just up the street) and our a/c unit was leaking on the carpet but since it was by the wall we didn't have to walk through it. Didn't use the indoor or outdoor pools but did make use of the gazebos to sit and relax while smoking. We will most certainly be return visitors. Also there are many restaurants super close as well as a Walmart and even a Dollar Tree.
