Families are enveloped by Hawaiian culture as soon as they enter the Aston Waikiki lobby, which is decorated with surfboards and festive accents. Standard rooms or junior suites are available at hotel. Rooms and suites showcase colorful Hawaiian prints and dark wood furnishings. Private lanais are a signature feature of the units. Junior suites offer living areas, additional space and dining tables. At the resort, Tiki’s Grill & Bar serves South Pacific delicacies in an open-air atmosphere. A children’s menu offers kid-friendly options. Wolfgang Puck Express is known for its signature open kitchen and casual, fast food dining. Nothing can beat the Cold Stone Creamery on the ground level! For fun, the beach is across the street and a pool is on the pool deck surrounded by chaise lounges and surf board showers. One of the best draws of Aston Waikiki is free daily breakfast on the beach. Also, children receive free coloring books and crayons at check-in as welcome gifts.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I’ve stayed in various places in Waikiki, but this is my favourite hotel which I keep returning to. From check in, the staff were really friendly and helpful making me feel at home, especially Joanne Daoang at the front desk who made me feel very valued. My room had a wonderful view over the beach, which I could not get enough of. The room was cleaned each day and was comfortable. The pool area was great, again with great views of the beach. I look forward to returning in the future and would recommend this hotel.

The room was gross. Period. Kudos for having a great location, but there are a ton of hotels in the area that have equally great locations and I'm pretty sure provide a better room. In addition, we paid for an ocean view, but got what I would call a partial ocean view. You could see the ocean if you went outside on the balcony, but not from in the room.
Service was ok. Daily housekeeping was a little spotty. Our room was skipped more than once. Elevators are super slow.
AC in the room wasn't great. It was set pretty high when we arrived (which is fine. Save some energy, I get it...) and we tried to lower it to a more reasonable temp and it literally took 2 days for it to get to that temp (like 72/73). And you had to keep the curtains closed. If we let the sun it, it couldn't keep up and the temp would go up to 75/76.
TV was also super frustrating. The remote didn't work very well, it had one of the old scrolling guides, signal was really spotty, and the guide wasn't even accurate half the time! So in the evening, when we wanted to wind down, we always ended up watching on an iPad. So saved by the free wifi.
