Valet LOST OUR KEYS

by Chelseamychal

The room was great, however when we checked out we turned our valet ticket in. She then asked our room number and wrote it on the ticket. We waited outside for 30min...after everyone else had been helped and we were the last ones still waiting we finally walked in and asked where our car was. She acted confused and asked our name and room number. All of the workers started looking for the keys and couldn’t find them. Confused and aggravated I asked “what are we going to do! Is the car even still there??” Another employee then answered “you can go in the parking garage and go look”. What!?!? Like who says that!! This situation was NOT handled properly at all. I finally walked in and asked for the manager. Told him the problem and he walked over and a couple minutes later had found the keys. He then told us he would waive our parking fee. I understand mistakes happen however the way this was handled was SO UNPROFESSIONAL. An hour wasted of our time.

family stayed for one night(that was plenty0
hotel is average*
-rooms big but old with some parts in disrepair
-location-good for Comerica park-10min walk.area itself is not great
"free breakfast" is poor. roped off til 7-cant get coffee earlier.packaged cereal or muffins is basically it or a crappy bagel
-some nice restaurant one block away
--staff mostly very nice.. however valet asked if the 4$ tip to simply valet car was to share?.can actually park much cheaper yourself across the street and no attitude
-very noisy location.street, light rail etc
-pretty small gym with very little equipment
-no reason to go back
