Is this hotel in the hospitality business????

My stay in this hotel had a very nice beginning. I was welcomed with a smile when I checked in and I was very pleased with the room. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and spacious.

After I returned from my early morning run, the problems began. I looked for complimentary coffee in the lobby that did not exist. (HUH?)

The hotel's restaurant offered a very nice Sunday brunch that my family of four planned to attend later that morning. I approached a restaurant staff member named Sandy and explained to her that I was a guest at the hotel and wanted to have my coffee before the rest of my family arrived. I provided her with my room key and room number so that she could put the coffee on my room tab if my family and I were no-shows to the brunch. Sandy was unwilling to give me the coffee and was rude to me.

I reminded Sandy that I was a guest at the hotel and a longstanding Marriott Rewards member but Sandy did not seem to care. I complained to the front desk and still did not receive my cup of coffee.

It was very disappointing that one rude employee spoiled my entire stay at this hotel. And, quite frankly, I was even more disappointed that the front desk refused to take action on my behalf and rectify the situation.

The last time I checked, Marriott was supposed to be in the hospitality business. The Marriott team members at this hotel need to remember this.

Needless to say, I will not be returning to this hotel nor will I be recommending the hotel to my family and friends.

The staff cares about the experience and really make you feel at home. I look forward to coming back. It is my first choice when coming to atl 5 times a month. Front desk, restaurant are great. Thank you for being here team
