Incredibly Unique Hotel

by middlerigger82

First, this hotel is an attraction unto itself. The 52 story atrium is dazzling and dizzying. For that alone, this hotel is worth a night's stay. Beyond that, the service was impeccable. From reception to bell services to the concierge, every person I spoke with was a pleasure and only helped to improve my experience. The dining options in the hotel are pretty good, although I wouldn't say any of them are particularly family friendly. This hotel seems setup to cater to the business crowd, but that doesn't mean its not worth the stay. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby which is great for a breakfast or snack on the run. The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Mall at Peachtree Center which has a massive food court and there are plenty of restaurants within just a few blocks to satisfy anyone's palate. I really only have two complaints with the hotel. One, it was difficult to get my rooms temperature to a cool enough point for my comfort. Granted, I like things cooler than most, but this whole hotel (really all buildings in Atlanta) ran hot. I think this also had to do with the time of year. The other issue I had was with the lack of storage space in the room. It truly baffled me. The room had a small area to hang clothes on hangers and that was it. There was no closed in closet, there were no shelves or drawers. There wasn't even a luggage stand. So, being that I was in a room with one bed, I had to store my clothes in my luggage on the floor. It seems a odd for a hotel of this kind to not have considered this. But, beyond that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Mediocre and overpriced

by AlexandraPickle

This hotel is huge, 41 floors and multiple towers.

Pros:
- location is central, downtown (not much use though without parking)
- the view from the room is nice
- the room was nice

Cons:
- No parking. You have fend for yourself to find parking blocks away. Finding that out when you check in at 10-11 PM is not fun. Then you have to pay $20-$25 and then walk back and forth to the hotel. We gave up and started using Uber.

- Everything is overpriced. Breakfast is $20, Starbucks inside the hotel is not much cheaper. A couple of glasses of wine and and two appetizers at the hotel restaurant were $75. Water at the hotel store costs as much as at the airport.
