Family Activities:

Ancient Olympia

Sports nerds and historians alike will want to explore The Peloponnese for a walk around the ancient site of the original Olympic Games, which date back to 776 BC. Situated only 4 hours from Athens, the chance to see the sculpted decoration of the temple of Zeus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the famous Hermis of Praxiteles and the statue of Nike, is too great to pass up while vacationing with kids in Greece. Better still, most of Ancient Olympia is free of charge to visit!
