The highest waterfall in the country at 175 feet, the Argyle is located on a former cocoa estate with some interesting history of its own. A 15-minute walk along a gravel trail leads you to the bottom of the falls and a pretty little pool for splashing around barefoot. The more energetic in your family can climb a demanding trail up to the first of three falls. There’s a good chance you’ll see lots of butterflies, birds and other wildlife. Be sure to wear solid footwear and bring bug spray. A small admission is charged, which varies seasonally. Save yourself some money by bringing bottled water and snacks.
