Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife R

10216 Lee Road, Boynton Beach, FL

At the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, families can wander along a boardwalk that travels through the only remaining piece of the northern Everglades in Palm Beach County. Along the way, families may encounter a wide variety of birds, mammals (such as raccoons, river otters, and deer), amphibians (such as frogs and toads), and reptiles (such as turtles, tortoises, lizards, and alligators).

The visitors center, located at the front of the refuge, offers families more information on the northern Everglades and how they came about.
