Balboa Beach is the stretch of sand on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach near the Balboa Fun Zone and Balboa Pier. Public restrooms, a kids’ playground, family-friendly restaurants and more are nearby, making a day in the sand easy and fun for families. Beach parking lots offer ample space for cars, and there is metered parking on the street (though more costly at about $1.50 an hour). Credit cards can be used for metered parking.
The beach is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
