The home of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games’ Opening and Closing Ceremonies in Vancouver, the BC Place reopened in 2011 following revitalization. Today, with the addition of the largest cable-supported retractable roof of its kind, the stadium hosts the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, BC Lions Football Club and the BC Sports Hall of Fame. Nearly 55,000 people can be seated in the stadium during its professional and amateur sporting events and concerts.
