Bellver Castle (Castell de Bellver)

Bellver Castle (Castell de Bellver)

Camilo Jose Cela, Palma de Mallorca

Built in the 14th century, this impressive castle is one of the few round castles in the world. The fortress, first used as a secondary residence for the Kings of Majorca, is located in Palma, at the top of a hill a couple of miles from the city center and more than 100 metres above sea level.

This gem of European gothic style will delight history lovers, architecture buffs and photographers, and gives each and every visitor one of the best views of the Balearic Islands capital city.
