Attraction

Bok Tower Gardens

1151 Tower Blvd., Lake Wales, 33853, FL

Plan your next family day trip to Bok Tower Gardens, where families can explore nature. Enjoy a leisurely ¾-mile walk along the Pine Ridge Nature Trail and check out the longleaf pine/turkey oat habitat along the way. This habitat is in danger of disappearing so take it in while you can! Kids will likely love the large Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden the most. The Garden features only one entrance/exit making it safe for parents to let their kids explore. There is a massive sand “box” with a large snack sculpture where kids can dig and maybe find fossils. There is a fairy garden where kids can be on the lookout for tiny friends, there a tons of things for children to climb on like a large rope spider web and log structures. There is a small outdoor stage where kids can perform themselves or watch a scheduled performance. And there are always events or art projects taking place at the children’s garden.

For the adults, the highlight at Bok Gardens will likely be the Tower. Nearly 700 acres of lands and gardens surround the 205-foot “singing tower” carillon. This impressive tower is always “singing” with magnificent chimes and music being played by the carillon musician each day and can be heard throughout the garden. The public is not permitted inside the tower but it is still an impressive sight from the outside.
