Castello di Amoroso

4045 St Helena Highway, Calistoga, 94515, CA

If you think a winery can’t be kid-friendly, think again. This winery, which resembles a castle and is located in Napa Valley, California, provides grape juice, coloring books and crayons for tykes (at a small fee). Fun Fact: Part of Disney’s “Bedtime Stories,” starring Adamn Sandler, was also filmed here. Castello di Amorosa is owned by the same family who operates V. Sattui Winery, about 15 minutes away.

Featuring five defensive towers with battlements, 107 rooms, eight levels with four underground, and doors, windows and ironwork made in Italy, this winery will delight kids who can explore while parents sample the collection of wines. A Great Hall, Noble’s Apartment, Church, Prison, Torture Chamber, Armory and Knight’s Room can be explored before stopping in the main tasting room for samples of reds and whites.

Castello di Amorosa is open daily, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from November to March, and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., December to February.
