Also called Castle Park or the Colline du Chateau, this viewpoint in Old Nice is the highest vantage around and offers lovely views of the French Riviera, as well as the former Nice castle.

There are playgrounds for kids and pretty pathways to stroll on after you enjoy the lookout. And if you don’t want to make the steep walk up the hill’s steps, you can arrive by taxi or a free elevator called the Ascenseur du Chateau that whisks you to the top in three minutes.
