Center for Puppetry Arts

1404 Spring Street NW, Atlanta, 30309-2820, GA

The Center for Puppetry Arts opened in 1978 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that took place with renowned puppeteer, Jim Henson. Today, it is the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to the art of puppetry – and growing with an expansion and renovation expected to be complete in 2015. The Center features puppets and artifacts in its museum, and offers performances in its theater, with special holiday-themed shows.
