This beach is obviously ideal for kids, but it’s also another spot to watch the many seals and sea lions that spend their time in La Jolla. In fact, you’ll likely see a photographer or several in this area. The water is just 3 feet deep — another reason why it’s great for little ones — and it’s free to access. Bring your shovels and buckets! Lifeguards are on duty year-round, and bathroom and shower facilities are available.
