ChocoMuseo – Guatemala

Attraction

ChocoMuseo – Guatemala

4a Calle Oriente, #14, Antigua

If you love chocolate (and who doesn’t?), be sure and make your way to Antigua’s two ChocoMuseo locations. Families can peruse the free museum at their own pace, learning about the history of the cacao bean, or they can roll up their sleeves and participate in the chocolate classes.

Participants of all ages (from small fry to teens to adult) learn entertaining history (in English, if you want), taste the chocolate drinks of the Maya and the Conquistadores, and best of all, make chocolate from the bean!

An educational, fun, and delicious way to get out of the heat? You can’t beat it. Classes range from a 45-minute mini chocolate class to the popular two-hour “from bean to bar” class ($20 for children 12 and under $25 for adults).

Hours

Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
