This 450-acre park that’s known for the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory includes a wealth of recreation as well. During the summer months, families can enjoy the Como Regional Park’s new aquatic facility (1151 Wynne Ave.), rent bikes or surreys for a spin around more than 2 miles of trails, golf an 18-hole course, take a paddleboat or paddleboard on Lake Como, pick a horse on the historic carousel or go on rides at Como Town Amusement Park.
The aquatic center includes a six-lane lap pool, basketball hoops and activity pool, a diving area, aquatic climbing wall, lazy river and aquatic zip-line. If you work up a hunger, look for a New Orleans-themed menu at the historic Como Lakeside Pavilion.
This varies by activity with the aquatic center costing $6 to $7 per person or $24 per family of five.
