Classic rides, such as the Python and the Twister, along with the world’s largest flat-surfaced recirculating pool, attract visitors to Coney Island Amusement Park every year. Families can enjoy the thrill-seeking variety of rides or relax for a spell in one of the amusement park’s iconic paddleboats. Water-lovers will enjoy the 16,000-square-foot-encompassing Typhoon Tower, a multilevel water attraction with waterslides and plenty of interactive activities. The park offers Family Happy Hours, when parents can ride free after 4 p.m. with a paying child age 16 or younger during the summer.
Tickets for the pool and waterslides and the rides are sold separately. A combo ticket costs $20 for visitors ages 5 and older and $10 for kids between 2 and 4 years; children under 2 are free. The park is open daily throughout the summer months and on weekends in September and October.
