What kid doesn’t love a train? This antique railway will thrill lovers of history and Thomas the Tank Engine alike, with passenger train tours of the Mount Washington Valley. The railway makes several trips daily from its Victorian-era station in the center of North Conway Village, allowing riders to take in the surrounding mountains and forests from vintage passenger coaches from the 1920s. Special cars include a double-decker Pullman coach from the 19th century, and a dining car for dinner trains.
Did we say Thomas? The railroad also offers special “Day Out With Thomas” events in summer when the train is pulled by the No. 1 tank engine himself, and North Pole express trains to visit Santa in December.
The Conway Scenic Railroad operates mid-April through December.
