Not long after Silverwood opened, with just the steam train and Lindy’s restaurant, the owner decided to bring in a few carnival-style rides, like the Tilt-A-Whirl and a Ferris Wheel. This proved to be a big success and, soon, the first separate attractions area opened up. Country Carnival quickly grew to include dozens of rides, games, snack stands, and souvenir shops. Here, you can ride the Bumper Boats, the Roaring Creek Log Flume, and the Krazy Kars, or chow down on a funnel cake and frozen lemonade. Try your luck at any number of traditional midway games to win a prize. Country Carnival continues to be a favorite for kids of all ages.
