Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

28 Tomewin St, Currumbin

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is one of Queensland’s most popular family attractions. The heritage-listed zoological gardens host a huge range of native animals. There are crocodiles, koalas, dingos, enchidnas and birds, including large flocks of rainbow lorikeets that are free-flying and not confined to cages.

There are shows, events and animal experiences for guests to enjoy at the Wildlife Sanctuary, such as the chance to cuddle a koala, lorikeet and pelican feeding; a dingo walk; behind the scenes tours; possum encounters and a segway safari. Guests wanting a more hands-on day out can explore the park via zip-line and learn how to train birds from the experts.

The Sanctuary also has an animal hospital that rehabilitates injured and sick native wildlife, many of which are then released back into the wild.
