Tour Washington D.C. — for free — with DC by Foot. The company offers tours of National Mall, Capitol Hill, Arlington National Cemetery, Historic Georgetown and Embassy Row. Visitors can also take a themed tour, such as Ghosts of Georgetown, Dark Side of Dupont Circle and Monuments by Moonlight — all of which take place at night and are especially fun for families with teens.

Additionally, D.C. by Foot offers tours by bike and bus; bus tours may require reservation fees. While all tours are free, tips are recommended.
