Deutsches Museum

Attraction

Science, technology, and history are the centerpieces of the Deutsches Museum, which was established in 1903 and is one of the oldest museums of its kind. You’ll see historically significant exhibits (ships, submarines, torpedos, planes) and fun demonstrations (lightning show, model railway, liquid nitrogen). There are special guided tours for children, so book one of those if you have a group; otherwise you can see the sights self-guided. There’s a lot to see and plenty of interactive exhibits, so budget as much time as you can–and don’t miss the huge mine replica, which is fun for all ages. There is also a special “Children’s Kingdom” discovery area for younger kids.
