If you’re looking for a magical beach vacation, then you will not be disappointed to learn “there is magic at the beach,” at Dickens Parlour Theatre. This 60-seat, live entertainment theater is located about five minutes outside of Bethany Beach. A different magician is featured each week, year-round. While some of the jokes may sail right over kids’ heads, the wonderment of the illusions will hold even the biggest skeptic’s attention. The parlour opens an hour ahead of the show, when a full service bar, popcorn and other snacks are available. The one-hour magic show, while usually suitable for the entire family, is recommended for children ages 10 and up. After the show, guests are invited back to the parlour to meet the performer and enjoy some closer action, table-side magic. An additional Children’s Magic Show held on Saturday afternoons is suitable for all ages.

Hours
In the summer, shows take place every night at 7 p.m. and if there happens to be a rainy day, a 2 p.m. matinee is added last-minute. In the off-season, shows are held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The children’s magic show is held at 2 p.m. on Saturdays in the summer.

Cost
$24 for adults and $16 for children. Ticket reservations are suggested and can be purchased online or by phone.
