This state park features a large beachfront for a variety of activities. The beach’s northern end typically is where surfers frequent, with the best swells and waves to enjoy, while younger children will like visiting the beach’s tide pools. A 5-acre lawn offers picnic facilities and volleyball courts, and the visitor’s center features aquariums. Lifeguards are on hand year-round, with lifeguard stations staffed during the summer months. Biking and hiking trails are also available, as well as fishing and geocaching. The beach provides parking, restrooms and snack service. The southern end of the beach has campsites and RV camping options. The park is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. year-round.
