If your family likes to mountain bike, try the 25 miles of rolling, flowy trails at Echo Ridge near Manson, 8 miles northwest of Chelan. These trails are designed for beginner and intermediate riders, with great views of the lake and the Cascade mountains. In winter, these trails open up for tubing, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. The 2,500-foot Echo Valley Ski and Tubing area also offers three rope tows and a surface Poma Lift for skiers, both beginner or advanced, to enjoy uncrowded slopes and stellar snow conditions.
