Attraction

Ecola State Park

Off Hwy. 101, Cannon Beach, OR

Located just 20 minutes south of the town of Seaside, the expansive Ecola State Park has some of the best hiking trails and scenic views in the area. There are miles of trails throughout the park, but there are also short, paved trails that provide amazing ocean views without tiring out your younger kids.

This is the best place to see the rugged and isolated Tillamook Lighthouse, which sits about a mile off the coast. The State Park features beaches, coves, and a stunning drive through old growth rainforest. It’s also packed full of wildlife, including elk, bald eagles, and brown pelicans. Oh, and whales. Yes, the park is a great vantage point for whale watching.

Admission
It will cost you $5 to enter the park, but it’s well worth it for the variety of sights and activities that your family will enjoy.
