Elephant sanctuaries continue to pop up throughout Thailand, but the most popular one is Elephant Nature Park, near Chiang Mai. It is here that families get the unique opportunity to feed and bathe the elephants.

Both half- and full-day excursions are available, with complimentary shuttle pick-up from many hotels in Chiang Mai. If you want to feed and bathe the elephants, you’ll need to opt for the full-day trip. The half-day trip includes the feeding only, but provides more than enough time with the elephants and is our preferred option for families.

Things to Know/Bring
Bring a bag with sunscreen, bug spray, and hats. Towels and a change of clothes are a good idea too, though not necessary.
