If your family is up for a moderate challenge, take this trail up to the stunning Emerald Lake. The trail starts near Bear Lake, and during your journey you’ll pass by Nymph Lake and Dream Lake, so there’s plenty of beautiful scenery and places to take a breather on the four-mile roundtrip. Because of this, the Emerald Lake Trail is a favorite of visitors to the park–so it’s not the place to go when you’re craving solitude. Regardless, for active families (especially ones with a photographer or two!) it’s a can’t-miss experience.
