Attraction

Fisherman’s Wharf

1 Dallas Rd, Victoria, V8V 0B2

This unique wharf is just around the corner from Victoria’s Inner Harbor. The floating docks offer several dining options with everything from mini donuts, to seafood and Mexican food. Place your order and enjoy your food at one of the picnic tables right on the docks. After lunch, stroll the wharf to check out the few shops and the float homes. The float homes (they aren’t called houseboats because they don’t have a motor) are real houses on the water that people live in or use as vacation homes. There are only 39 homes in Fisherman’s Wharf and some are uniquely decorated and fun to see, but don’t touch or get too close. Each one is someone’s personal home. A few eco-adventure tours can also be found at Fisherman’s Wharf. Families can book a whale watching boat tour or kayaking tour. Kids will love this unique wharf and it makes for a great lunch destination when visiting Victoria.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily

Things to Know/Bring: Be on the lookout for seals, eagles and otters while visiting the wharf.

Dining: Fisherman’s Wharf is filled with dockside kiosk restaurants with a wide variety of options.

Parking: Limited paid parking is available but the wharf is also just a 10-minute walk from Inner Harbor. Or take a water taxi from Inner Harbor to make the experience even more exciting.
