Fitzgerald Park

Attraction

Originally built for the Cork Exhibition, Fitzgerald Park is a 15-minute walk from the city center. Set along the River Lee, Fitzgerald Park features a tranquil setting that includes walking paths, a pond with a fountain, sculptures, a pedestrian ‘Shakey Bridge,’ formal gardens, and a playground with climbing walls, slides and swings. The park also houses the Cork Public Museum.

Hours

During the week, the park opens at 8:30 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, it opens at 10 a.m. For seasonal closing hours, it follows the following times: November to February, 5 p.m.; March and October, 6 p.m.; April and September, 8 p.m.; May and August, 9 p.m.; June and July, 10 p.m.

Nearby dining is available at the Riverview Café in the Cork Public Museum.

Parking

Choose between street parking, paid parking lots, or visitor parking at the University Cork College.
