Fort Ticonderoga

Attraction

One of the largest forts involved in the American Revolution, the claiming of this fort by the Americans became a turning point in the war and helped Americans take hold of Boston. The fort lies on the shore of Lake George at Lake Champlain, and rests on 2,000 acres of landscaped grounds, with an 18th century living-history museum and gardens. The fort is closed during winter and spring and is open May 17 through October 20.
