Fota Wildlife Park

Fota, Carrigtwohill,, County Cork

Just 15 minutes outside of the bustling city of Cork is an entirely family-friendly stop perfect for the little ones getting tired of being dragged to castles and churches. Home to more than 70 animal species from around the word, kids can come face to face with endangered species like the European bison, the Rothschild giraffe, and the Lion-Tailed Macaque in a free-roaming environment. Drive through the park in a Jeep Safari or the Maxi Zoo Train. The park also features children’s play areas, a cafe, picnic areas, and gift shop. African drumming workshops are held the first Sunday of every month, and park events include wildlife talks, animal feeds, arts and crafts, puppet shows, storytelling and a Cheetah Run.
