The Friendship Fountain in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, is located at the west end of the Riverwalk, near the Museum of Science and History. The fountain was dedicated in 1965, and is one of the largest self-contained fountains ever built. It pumps between 3,000 and 6,500 gallons of water per minute. Water reaches heights of 100 feet and is illuminated by 265 lights. It is free to visit, and a must for families with kids.
