Gangster Museum of America

Attraction

Gangster Museum of America

510 Central Ave., Hot Springs, AR

Surprisingly, Hot Springs, Arkansas was quite the destination for gangsters back in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s, and much of that history is documented in The Gangster Museum of America. Guided tours take visitors through a variety of galleries, each highlighting different gangsters who frequented Hot Springs many years ago. Tours last approximately one hour, with a maximum of 25 participants. Tour guides relate a lot of great information, but there’s not much time for questions from visitors. Also, there’s not a lot of seating throughout and kids can get bored and tired of standing, so parents with children younger than 6 may want to hold off on this attraction until the kids are older or have childcare options.

Hours
Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Be sure to ask for specific tour times when calling ahead or stopping by the museum.

Admission
$15 for adults, $14 for seniors and $6 for children ages 8 to 12. Children 7 and younger are free when accompanied by an adult.
