There are lots of places in the U.S. you can take your children to see where George Washington slept. But this is the only place outside of the U.S. our first president ever visited. In 1751, George accompanied his ailing brother here to recuperate in the warm, fresh air. The house is fully restored with period furnishings and the tours are interesting and insightful… almost as much as a tour of Mt. Vernon.
