One of three breeding centers found in the Galapagos Islands, it was founded in 1982 by the national park to help propagate the species. Close to 1000 tortoises are found on the property, from tiny two-month-old specimens to the more remarkable giant tortoises, well over a century old. Thanks to breeding centers like these, there are now over 30,000 giant tortoises found on the Galapagos Islands. Best for ages 6 to 18.
