Get out of the congestion at Green Rush, an ecoadventure park in the eastern hillsides about half an hour outside of Guatemala City. The park highlights 10 km of trails and outdoor activities that include archery, horseback riding and a zipline. There’s also an animal sanctuary and a trail leading to a far-flung waterfall.
Services include a restaurant and a picnic area with dazzling views over the Guatemala City valley. You can camp here with your own tent or go glamping in one of their deluxe safari tents.

The park is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday; Monday through Wednesday with prior reservation.
