Kids will enjoy a visit to Hellbrun, if only for its magical fountains and dancing water. The Trick Fountains, as they are called, were created by the palace’s owner and creator, archbishop Markus Sittikus, to have some fun with his guests. The fountains are in operation April through October, and yes, kids will get wet! The Palace was a summer residence, constructed in the early 1600s. Its ground and gardens are available to enjoy for picnics and outdoor events that take place in the summer. The nearby Salzburg Zoo is located off of the gardens.
