A cannon booms across the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers several times a day from Memorial Day through Labor Day as costumed soldiers and staff of historic Fort Snelling bring the early 1800s to life. Visitors can see what barracks were like, how soldiers ate, watch drills, see how they’d do as the fort doctor with an interactive game and common scenarios, visit the fort supply store and climb the tower for stellar views across the rivers and entire Twin Cities area.

Admission
$6, children ages 5 to 17; $10, seniors/college students/active military; and $12, adults.

Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day: Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday: Noon to 5
September to October: Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
