The Huichol are the native people of this region of Mexico and this center helps preserve and interpret their culture. It’s part museum, part education center, but it is also a wonderful gift shop with clothing, jewelry and art created by the Huichol people. Plan on making this your destination for souvenir shopping. Their culture, and thus those items for sale, include vibrant colors and detailed bead work. The center and adjacent gallery are open seven days a week.
