The Idaho State Historical Museum was founded in 1907 in Boise, Idaho. It now houses more than 250,000 artifacts which help teach families and visitors about the state’s history. The main site is currently closed through 2017 for renovations, but the museum shop and a few exhibits are open for guests at the temporary location at 214 Broadway Avenue. The temporary location is open Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission and parking is free.
