ImaginOn is one of those must-stop kind of spots. And if you’re a library lover? ImaginOn is home sweet home. Try to picture the Charlotte Public Library and the Children’s Theater of Charlotte collaborating. True, it’s hard to picture. Five minutes inside this incredible space will leave you wishing your own town had something just like it.

When you enter the air-conditioned building, you’ll walk up the gorgeously designed staircase and “ooh” and “ahh” over a super cool art piece hanging from high above. We won’t give spoilers, but bring your camera. The center boasts a sophisticated Teen Loft with books and computer stations, the Story Lab has a collection of interactive workstations, and Studio 1 has audio/video recording and animation. The Wells Fargo Playhouse seats 250 and hosts children’s shows throughout the year.

Hours
Library Hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Daily parking in the ImaginOn garage next door gives you the first 90 minutes free (with a validated ticket by ImaginOn) and $2 for each additional 30 minutes.
