Sitting just outside the park, with free admission for all, this exact replica of the historic Philadelphia landmark was built by Walter Knott so residents on the West Coast wouldn’t have to travel clear across the country to experience the birthplace of our country. Inside, there are displays and audio retellings of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, as well as historical exhibits that bring the past to life. The building is so realistic, it was used in the 2004 movie “National Treasure” to stand in for the real thing.
