Independence National Historical Park

143 South Third Street, Philadelphia, 19106, PA

Nowhere else in America will you find so much history packed into such a small area. The 55-acre Independence National Historical Park, located in Philadelphia, preserves some of the most crucial pieces of the American dream; some dating all the way back to the Revolutionary War.

Here, you’ll find Independence Hall, where both the United States Constitution and Declaration of Independence were presented and adopted by America’s forefathers. Right across from the hall, you’ll find one of the most iconic pieces of America’s early history and battle for independence — the Liberty Bell. On the bell’s outer shell reads, “Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof;” a beautifully humbling reminder of what it means to be an American.

Inside the roughly four-block vicinity, you’ll also find the National Constitution Center, Independence Visitor Center, the Liberty Bell Center, Library and Archives, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Benjamin Franklin’s grave and a ton of other museums, exhibits and attractions.

If you’re looking to have fun with the kids while possibly learning a thing or two in the process, this is an excellent place to do it.
