Family Activities:

Inner Harbor

Attraction

A family trip to Baltimore simply isn’t complete without a stop at the city’s Inner Harbor. Dating back to the early 17th century, it is one of America’s oldest seaports. This means it is absolutely chock-full of important national history. Check out some of the historic ships in the port, take a guided tour of the city or visit some of the countless other exhibits, all located within a few city blocks of one another.

With so much to do in such a small area, your family won’t know where to begin. Perhaps a trip to the American Visionary Art Museum is in order? Or maybe it’s time to spend a day at the Oriole Park at Camden Yards? If you’re looking for something a little different, check out Geppi’s Entertainment Museum, or allow your children to be taught a little history at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture. At the very least, be sure to check out the amazing National Aquarium, Baltimore or the Maryland Science Center, both also located in the Inner Harbor. Rain or shine, your family won’t leave disappointed.

Looking for brilliant sightseeing with a little less structure? Take a walk around the Inner Harbor’s breathtaking waterfront. Explore the shops and restaurants, and prepare for a beautiful stroll with almost endless amounts of intriguing history and entertainment for the whole family.
